As of the night of April 22, 2024, the permanent population of Uzbekistan surpassed 37 million, according to the website counter of the Statistics Agency under the President.

Of this population, the male count stands at over 18.6 million, while the female count exceeds 18.34 million.

Numerous Internet users refreshed the page with the counter and noted the exact moment it reached 37 million — occurring at 3:24 a.m.

At the time of publication, the counter indicates an increase of over 1,100 individuals.

The real-time data is obtained from civil registry offices, the Statistics Agency shared with Gazeta.uz.

As of April 1, the permanent population of the country totaled 36,963,262 people. Thus, the growth for the partial month amounted to 36,738 people, representing a 0.1% increase.

Since the beginning of the year, when the population was 36,799,800, the rise has exceeded 200,000 people, averaging over 50,000 per month.

In 2023, the permanent population of Uzbekistan grew by 774,900 people, marking a 2.2% increase. This figure has shown annual growth since 2020.

The permanent population refers to individuals permanently residing in a specific locality or district at the time of registration. This includes those who are officially registered as permanent residents in a particular region but may be temporarily absent.
