Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on 17−19 May at the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the press service of the head of Uzbekistan reported.

On the first day of the visit, high-level events and negotiations will be held in Tashkent. Discussions are expected to cover issues of development of political dialogue, expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchange, promotion of cooperation programs and projects in trade, innovation, energy, petrochemicals, industry, electrical engineering, electronics, agriculture, and other sectors.

The head of Malaysian government will also visit Samarkand and Bukhara, where he will get acquainted with Uzbekistan’s cultural, historical and spiritual heritage. Besides, he will participate in the joint business forum.
