European Union Envoy for Sanctions David O’Sullivan will visit Tashkent November 29−30, the press service of the EU Delegation in Uzbekistan reported.

The purpose of the visit is “to continue a constructive dialog with the authorities of Uzbekistan on EU sanctions in response to Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine,” the message read.

On November 28, O’Sullivan will also travel to Kazakhstan, where he will have a number of meetings with the state officials.

During his last visit in April earlier this year, O’Sullivan emphasized the collaborative efforts between Uzbekistan and the EU. The focus of the agenda was to ensure that the country’s territory is not used to circumvent sanctions imposed on Russia.
