Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan signed a Treaty on Allied Relations between the two countries following their talks in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on Thursday, press service of the president of Uzbekistan reported.
As part of the negotiations, ministries and state bodies of the two countries signed a number of bilateral documents.
A total of 28 documents were signed, among them were:
- Agreement on cooperation in industry;
- Agreement on cooperation in industrial property protection;
- Agreement on scientific cooperation between the academies of sciences;
- Protocols amending agreements on state border checkpoints, international road and air transportation;
- Protocol on cooperation in veterinary medicine and food safety;
- Protocol on cooperation between agencies on economic competition development and consumer protection;
- Roadmaps for cooperation in culture and tourism, as well in agro-industrial complex;
- Cooperation agreements and roadmaps for 2024−2026 between Andijan, Namangan, Syrdarya, Fergana, Khorezm regions of Uzbekistan and Sughd region of Tajikistan, as well as between Kashkadarya and Khatlon regions,
- and other documents.
