Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan anticipate holding joint military exercises on the territory of Kazakhstan in July, as reported by the press service of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense.

On April 4, defense ministers of these countries held a meeting in Aktau. They planned the group and staff exercises “Birlestik-2024” (“Unity-2024”) and signed a joint plan, respectively.

Large-scale exercises are scheduled to be held on the territories of the Oymash military training area, as well as at Cape Tokmak in the waters of the Caspian Sea.

The meeting covered discussions on preparations for the exercises and tasks to be accomplished, as outlined in the report.
