President Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended his congratulations to the people of Uzbekistan, compatriots abroad, and all Muslims on Ramadan Hayit (Eid al-Fitr).

“I extend my sincere congratulations to all Muslims in our country who, with a pure heart and faith in their soul, observed the holy month of Ramadan, performing all rituals and prayers as ordained by our sacred religion. Today, it is with great joy and excitement that we meet Ramadan Hayit. I express my deep respect and best wishes to all of you,” the president stated.

“Islam is a religion of peace, benevolence, and humanism, confirmed by texts in our sacred books, saying that ‘a true Muslim inherently strives to live in peace, friendship and harmony',” the head of state noted.

“In New Uzbekistan, essential measures are being undertaken to ensure freedom of conscience and religion for representatives of all nationalities and faiths, as well as development of their languages, cultures, and traditions. Initiatives include the construction of new mosques, enhancement of places of worship dedicated to esteemed scholars and theologians, and the revitalization of national and religious values. Extensive opportunities for performing the holy Hajj and Umrah are also being facilitated. Rest assured, such endeavors will persist,” affirmed Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

He emphasized that “for this purpose, in the current extreme global complexities and tensions, it is necessary to protect the peace and tranquility reigning on our soil, to fortify our unity and bring our reforms to a new level to serve the interests of the people”.

“We have no right to forget that educating our children in the spirit of national values as harmoniously developed individuals, who excel in modern knowledge and professions, appreciate and love the Motherland, is our main duty. In particular, we should strengthen educational work in schools and mahallas, guided by the principle, ‘Humanism is our goal, enlightenment is our strength',” the president shared.
