On March 11, a gas explosion occurred in a private residence in Fergana resulting in injuries of three Indian citizens, as reported to Gazeta.uz by Hayot Shamsutdinov, spokesperson for the General Prosecutor’s Office.

The individuals sustained varying degrees of thermal burns and are currently undergoing treatment in a hospital.

The young men, two born in 2001 and one born in 2003, are students at Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health and reside in a rented house on Shark Street.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 259 (violation of fire safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
