At 20:15 November 17, a Mi-8 helicopter under the command of Uzbekistan Air and Air Defence Forces crashed during a flight training at the Kattakurgan training area in Samarkand Region, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported.
As a result of the tragedy, all crew members lost their lives. A special commission is investigating the causes of the accident.
Opened in November 2019, Kattakurgan is the largest military training area in Uzbekistan.
