Following the negotiations between Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Italy Sergio Mattarella, a joint statement was adopted aimed at developing relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, the press service of the head of state reported.
An intergovernmental agreement on exemption of diplomatic passport holders from visa procedures was endorsed in the presence of the presidents. In addition, treaties on cooperation in education, science, technology and innovation, and sports were signed.
