Tashkent Open to host 40 tennis players from 20 countries

International women’s tennis tournament Tashkent Open will take place from 24 September to 1 October in the capital of Uzbekistan.

More than 40 players from some 20 countries are expected to participate in the tournament, including 17 professionals from WTA’s top-100 ranking, Uzbekistan Tennis Federation said.

Uzbekistan will be represented by two players: Nigina Abduraimova (170th in WTA ranking) and Sabina Sharipova (187th).

Traditionally, a number of events will be held within the tournament, including master classes for children, matches among journalists, diplomats and companies.
