National Paralympic team of Uzbekistan, which arrives from Rio-de-Janeiro to Tashkent on 21 September, will tour the capital on double-decker buses.
Two buses decorated with Paralympic symbolics have been prepared for the athletes to take them from the airport to the National Paralympic Association. The double-deckers carry signs on both sides that read: “We are proud of you!”.
The same buses were used to greet the country’s Olympic team, which returned from Brazil with a record 13 medals, including 4 golds, on 23 August.
The Paralympic team is coming home with even greater result — 31 medals, including 8 gold ones. The team consisted of 32 sportsmen.
Despite early arrival (6:15 am), numerous fans are expected to come out in the streets to welcome the delegation.
