Defence minister of Azerbaijan, colonel general Zakir Hasanov, who made an official visit to Uzbekistan, held talks with defence minister of Uzbekistan, colonel general Kabul Berdiyev on 5 October, Azerbaijan defence ministry said.
Before coming to Tashkent, Zakir Hasanov paid a tribute to the memory of the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, laying flowers to his grave in Samarkand.
At the meeting, ministers discussed prospects of military and technical cooperation between the countries, including exchange of experience, and other issues of mutual interest.
Azerbaijani delegation also visited Uzbekistan Armed Forces Academy and Tashkent Higher Command School.
