Central Bank of Uzbekistan has set new rates of foreign currencies to the Uzbek soum from 14 September.

US dollar exchange rate has crossed the mark of 3,000 soums, having increased 5.49 soums against last week, from 2,994.76 to 3,000.25 soums.

From the beginning of the year (2,809.98 soums), dollar has gained 190.27 soums or 6.7% against the Uzbek currency. During 2015, soum went down in value by 16%.

Euro has decreased 7.21 soums against the soum to 3,367.29 from Wednesday, while Russian ruble gained 0.65 soums to 46.12.

Exchange rates are set by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan once a week (every Tuesday) for accounting, statistical and other statements on currency transactions, as well as calculation of customs and other obligatory payments.
