President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to the UAE from 13 to 16 January at the invitation of UAE president Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, press service of the president announced.

The visit’s program includes meetings and events in the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

In the UAE capital, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold bilateral talks with president Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, meet with leaders of state organizations, companies and banks, as well as participate in the international Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week summit.

In Dubai, a meeting is planned with vice president, prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The visit’s agenda will focus on deepening Uzbekistan-UAE relations and expanding practical cooperation in areas such as investments, green energy, infrastructure, digitalization, artificial intelligence, innovative development, tourism and others.

Particular attention will be paid to enhancing cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The discussions will also cover pressing issues of international and regional politics.

The talks are expected to result in the adoption of a substantial package of agreements aimed at further developing comprehensive cooperation between the two nations, the statement noted.
