Two individuals lost their lives under a snow mass at Kamchik pass in eastern Uzbekistan on 8 January, the Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed to Gazeta.uz.
A group of eight people went to the mountains for snow activities when one of them entered a restricted area to take a selfie. He slipped and fell into a snowdrift. Another member of the group attempted to help but also fell, and both were buried under the snow.
