President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the New Year 2025.

Despite global challenges, 2024 was a prosperous year for the nation, he said. “Thanks to the dedicated work and socio-political engagement of our people, the vision of a New Uzbekistan is becoming a reality,” the president stated.

He highlighted the year’s key milestones, including elections to the Oliy Majlis and local kengashes (councils), the launch of new projects, rising incomes and improving living standards, construction of new housing, successes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games and Uzbekistan’s growing international reputation.

“All of this was possible due to sustainable development, atmosphere of friendship and harmony in our society,” Mirziyoyev emphasized, expressing gratitude to “our creative people for their conscientious labor and service to the Motherland”.

Noting that 2025 was declared the Year of Environmental Protection and the Green Economy, he said: “Our main goal is to create a sustainable balance between the economic system and the environment around us.”

“We will create even broader opportunities for businesses and continue to ensure the inviolability of private property while actively attracting foreign investment,” the head of the state stressed.

“The focus will be on the social sphere, increase of wages, pensions and allowances. We will mobilize all resources to nurture our children into harmoniously developed individuals with modern knowledge and professions. We will enhance our focus on the development of science, education, healthcare, culture, arts and sports,” he said.

“Support for veterans, women and youth, along with improvements in social protection”, will remain key areas of focus. The work “to strengthen the potential of our Armed Forces, support for servicemen and their families” will be raised to a new level, the president continued.

“In short, united as one, we will act to implement our fundamental principle: For the sake of people, for their happiness!” Shavkat Mirziyoyev concluded.
