The Sea Breeze Uzbekistan international tourism center, planned on the shores of Charvak reservoir in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, is estimated to cost $10 billion, president Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced during a meeting on 20 December.

The agreement was reached to commence construction of the complex, which will be fully financed by foreign investors.

Azerbaijani entrepreneur Emin Agalarov on 16 December presented the project to president of Uzbekistan. The complex will feature recreation zones, beaches, sports facilities, hotels, residential complexes and other amenities spanning an area of 500 to 700 hectares. Additionally, the plan includes a bridge across the bay, schools, an aqua park, leisure parks, facilities for water and winter sports and more.

According to earlier information, the tourism center will be located on both shores of Charvak reservoir. The southern section will stretch along the cape near the village of Yusufkhona, while the northern section will cover the area between the settlements of Yakkatut and Baladala, Spot reported.

The two sides of Sea Breeze Uzbekistan will be connected by a bridge over the reservoir, with a minimum length of 1 kilometer. The site also includes a walnut grove, where villas are planned to be constructed, according to available images.

A golf course with 18 holes is planned slightly above the Chorvoq Oromgohi (Pyramids) recreation zone along the reservoir.

“The head of the state stressed that he was aware of the successful operation of the Sea Breeze project in Azerbaijan. We have experience launching this project,” Agalarov stated.

The Sea Breeze is a premium seaside resort and coastal complex spanning 500 hectares, founded by Emin Agalarov in 2006. The resort city is located on the Caspian Sea coast, a 30-minute drive from central Baku.

Emin Agalarov, son of Russian businessman Araz Agalarov and former son-in-law of Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev, married the president’s eldest daughter, Leyla Aliyeva, in 2006 and divorced in 2015. He is also known in the music world as Emin.

In late August, Agalarov Development announced plans to build a residential complex with a hotel in central Tashkent, the project is estimated at $133 million.
