Minister of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov on 9 October received the new head of the diplomatic mission of Afghanistan in Tashkent Abdul Ghafar Terawi, the ministry press service said.

“The sides emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, realizing untapped potential, and developing new projects that would serve the interests of both nations,” the statement noted.

Abdul Ghafar Terawi expressed gratitude on behalf of Afghanistan for the ongoing assistance provided by Uzbekistan.
