Fourth session of the Intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan was held on 27−28 December in Dushanbe, Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.

Delegation of Uzbekistan was received by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who conveyed message to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with invitation to come to the country on an official visit.

The meeting of the commission was held under the chairmanship of deputy prime minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov and first deputy prime minister of Tajikistan Davlatali Said.

During the meeting, a wide range of topical issues of bilateral cooperation was discussed, including in the fields of economy, trade, transport, industry, culture, education, sports and health.

The next meeting of the Intergovernmental commission will be held in Tashkent in 2017.
