President-elect of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a telephone conversation on 13 December.
According to UzA, during the conversation, which was held on the initiative of the Ukrainian side, parties discussed state and prospects of Uzbek-Ukrainian relations in various fields, as well as exchanged views on topical issues of regional and international politics.
President of Ukraine congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev with convincing victory in the elections for the post of the President of Uzbekistan.
The heads of states have agreed to jointly develop mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and Ukraine, especially in the trade and economic spheres, by applying all existing potential of the two countries.
Perto Poroshenko invited Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Ukraine at a convenient time for the Uzbek side.
