Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Acting President and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, won presidential elections held on Sunday with an overwhelming majority of 88.61% of votes.
A total of 15,906,724 citizens voted for Shavkat Mirziyoyev, candidate from Uzbekistan’s Liberal-Democratic Party (UzLiDep), chairman of the Central Electiion Commission Mirza-Ulughbek Abdusalomov told journalists on Monday.
