Polling stations at diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in foreign countries opened for voting at 2 am Tashkent time. The first ones to vote were Uzbekistan nationals in Japan and South Korea, UzA reported.

The voter lists includes over 20 million people. 9,383 polling stations are functioning in Uzbekistan, and 44 abroad.

34th polling station at the embassy of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea has more than 500 registered voters.

“We are confident that large-scale reforms, which were started by first President Islam Karimov, will continue. The future depends on the will of the citizens of Uzbekistan,” student of the Academy of Korean Studies Feruza Buranova said.
