Acting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences to President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Michel Miguel Elias Temer Lulia in connection with the crash in Colombia of a Brazilian passenger plane that led to numerous casualties.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev conveyed words of sympathy to the families and close ones of the victims and wished recovery to the injured, press service of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
The plane carrying 77 passengers, including 9 crew members, crashed on Tuesday near Medellin, Colombia. Among those on board were players of the Brazilian football club Chapecoense. Only 6 persons survived. The cause of the incident was short supply of fuel.
