Portal of interactive government services of Uzbekistan (my.gov.uz) cancelled the requirement to use electronic digital signature for sending inquiries, including complaints and suggestions, to state bodies, IT and Communications Ministry press service said.

The move followed numerous complaints to the prime minister’s virtual reception. Requirement to use digital signature was introduced earlier this year and this complies with the law, which allows state bodies to ignore anonymous inquiries.

However, applying this rule to the government portal has caused inconveniences to the people, many internet users complained. At the same time, inquiries to the PM office via pm.gov.uz website, launched in late September, hit some 180,000, according to recent data, due to the site’s simplicity.

The ministry reminded that, in addition my.gov.uz and pm.gov.uz portals, citizens and businesses can contact state bodies and companies via their respective websites.
