Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan announced additional measures to help visually impaired citizens execute their constitutional right to vote.

For the first time in the country"s history, bulletins will be provided with braille, a tactile writing system, the commission said at its 8 Novermber meeting.

Such practice has not been used at any previous presidential or parliamentary elections, the commission press service confirmed in a comment to Gazeta.uz.

At its meeting, the Central Election Commission also accredited 20 long-term observers from the OSCE"s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, who arrived in the country on 6 and 7 November.
