Meetings of working groups of governmental delegations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on delimitation and demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border were held on 31 October in Batken and Osh.

According to Uzbekistan Foreign Ministry’s press service, the sides conducted joint field survey and agreed on 49 sections of the state border.

On 26 October, heads of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in a telephone conversation confirmed mutual interest in successful completion of joint works on delimitation and demarcation of the border.


The next meeting of the two countries' working groups is scheduled in Uzbekistan.
