Acting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received US under secretary of state for political affairs Thomas Shannon on 29 October, UzA reported.
The sides exchange views on a wide array of issues of bilateral and multilateral agenda. As underlined during the conversation, Uzbekistan and the United States have all possibilities and necessary potential for strengthening and expansion of partnership in all prospective areas.
Thomas Shannon confirmed US interest in dynamic and successful development of multilateral relations with Uzbekistan.
The under secretary also visited National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan and congratulated the athletes with high achievements at this year’s Summer Paralympic Games in Rio.
