The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan held a session on 13 October chaired by Acting President, prime minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

At the meeting, devoted to consideration of the country’s development in January-September, it was announced that Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product increased by 7.8%, UzA reported.

In January-September, industrial growth made up 7.2%, construction works increased by 15%, retail turnover by 14.2%, services by 12.4% and agricultural production by 6.4%.

State budget was implemented with a surplus of 0.1% to the GDP. The inflation rate did not exceed the forecast parameters, the government said.

100 large industrial facilities were put into operation from the beginning of the year under the Investment Program for 2016, by the year end 64 new facilities are expected to be launched.
