Acting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on 6 October welcomed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who visited Samarkand with a short working visit, press service of Belarus leader said.
Lukashenko visited Hazrat Hizr cemetery near Shah-i-Zinda memorial complex and laid flowers to the grave of the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.
Then Belarus President visited the Forums Palace in Samarkand, where he laid a wreath to the photo of Islam Karimov and met his widow Tatyana Karimova to express his condolences.
