Every citizen has the right to decide whether to participate in the cotton harvesting campaign or not, according to the awareness-raising campaign by Uzbekistan Trade Unions Federation.
The citizens also have the right for decent working conditions, including safety measures, as well as to refuse to participate in the harvest at any time and without additional conditions, the campaign posters read (pictured, in Uzbek).

Uzbekistan legislation prohibits use of forced and child labour. Within the information campaign, banners and posters have been placed in all regions of the country, and flyers are being distributed among the population. Separate materials have been prepared for public officials.
