Tulkin Teshabayev became rector of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), university confirmed to Gazeta.uz.
Prior to appointment, Tulkin Teshabayev worked as deputy chairman of the Council of Trade Unions' Federation.
Former rector, Utkir Khamdamov, occupied this position from February.
