Acting President of Uzbekistan, prime minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Sergeli district of Tashkent on Sunday, UzA reported.

Meeting local residents and representatives of the city administration, Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed construction of new houses in the district instead of the old ones, improvement of living conditions in the multi-apartment residential buildings, as well as improvement of the municipal services.

One of the large projects to be implemented in Sergeli is construction of 500 new apartment buildings during 2017−2022. This large project is expected to provide 30,000 families with housing through preferential mortgage credits.

Another important issue was construction of new parks and green zones in all districts of Tashkent, as well as new transport and communication networks, including an overground metro line to link Sergeli with the city underground network.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev said implementation of these projects in the near future would open great prospects for increase of potentials not only in Sergeli, but in the whole of Tashkent.
