Sherzod Kudbiyev has been appointed new hokim (head of administration) of Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent.

35-year-old Kudbiyev is a graduate of Fergana Polytechnic Institute. Prior to appointment, he worked as deputy head of Uzbekistan Cabinet’s information and analysis department for macroeconomic development, structural reforms, attraction of foreign investments and integrated development of territories.

His previous post (2012 to 2015) was director of the National scientific center for employment, labor and social protection of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (currently Ministry of Labour).

Former hokim of Mirzo-Ulugbek district Shomansur Akhmedov was relieved of his duties during a recent tour of the capital city by the Acting President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
