People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan and Adolat (Justice) Social Democratic Party on 20 September applied for participation in the 4 December presidential elections, Central Election Commission said.
One day earlier, Milliy Tiklanish (National Revival) Democratic Party and Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen — Liberal Democratic Party (UzLiDeP) also submitted documents to take part in the elections.
The Central Election Commission should make final decision on the parties' participation in the elections within five days.
There are four registered political parties in Uzbekistan. Only registered parties can nominate candidates for the president.
