Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan approved the program for development of towns and districts of Tashkent region for 2016−2018.

The document envisages increasing industrial and consumer goods production, implementing investment projects in industry, as well as developing infrastructure.

In particular, industrial production in the region is set to increase by 33.4% over the two coming years.

The government plans to raise the level of industrialization in seven districts of the region and develop road maps to decrease subventions from the state budget in five districts.
