UN session to start with minute of silence in memory of Islam Karimov

First plenary session of the 71^st UN General Assembly will be held on September 16. One of the points of agenda will be “Tribute to the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov,” “Jahon” news agency informs.

The event will feature presentations on behalf of the five UN regional groups (group of Asian countries; Africa; Eastern Europe; Latin America and the Caribbean, Western Europe), United States delegation as host country, as well as delegation of Uzbekistan.
