Acting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the appointment of Abdulla Aripov as Deputy Prime Minister, according to sources from Cabinet of Ministers. He will lead the Complex on youth policy, culture, information systems and telecommunications in the government, according to updated information on Governmental portal.

Abdulla Aripov (1961 of birth) served as Deputy Prime Minister for more than 10 years — from May 2002 to August 2012. He led a complex on Information Systems and Telecommunications in the government (until October 2009 — a complex on educations, healthcare, social protection, information systems and telecommunications). At the same time in 2005−2009 he headed the Uzbek Agency of Communication and Information.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev made a number of other appointments as well. The Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education Alisher Vakhabov, who occupied his position from April 2014 was replaced by Rustam Kasymov. Previously (2004−2008), he worked as minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education and Deputy Prime Minister.

Inom Majidov was appointed first Deputy Minister of HSSE and Majit Karimov, who was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for Youth Policy, Education, Culture and Sport this summer became Deputy Minister of Science.
